Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform detailed eye examinations to detect vision defects, signs of injury, ocular diseases, or abnormalities.
2. Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
3. Diagnose and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disorders.
4. Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
5. Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper maintenance of corrective lenses.
6. Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with examination results and treatment plans.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
8. Stay current with advancements in optometry through continuing education and training.
